The former Afghan Foreign Minister Rangin Dadfar Spanta believes that IS in Afghanistan and IS in the Middle East are two oppositely different branches of one terrorist organization.

“I don’t believe that IS in Afghanistan is the same IS in the Middle-East. There is a conglumeral of different groups or elements coming in with the flag of IS. We have some IS element, the longer the attack scores in Central Asia, currently they are trying to win in Afghanistan, which we are trying to address in fighting”, Spanta says.

According to the news agency Asia News, the former Afghan Foreign Minister also stressed the importance of the joint fight against terrorism on the territory of Afghanistan.

“Cooperation is the main issue of the center. We must react to the growing activity of terrorists, “Spanta said.

Spanta also expressed a request for cooperation of states in the sphere of terrorist struggle.

“But, on the issue we have in common, the issue of fighting terrorism. We have to do our own work in Afghanistan, for the better coordination of policy at home. For this we have to work together for strengthening the brotherhood”, the representative of Afghanistan said.
